Youth Sunday | November 10

Cornerstone will lead all 3 worship services on Sunday, November 10. We will need singers, speakers, musicians, ushers and greeters! Contact DKB to let him know how you would like to serve.

Other Programming Opportunities

Sundays – Cornerstone Fellowship

Sundays | 5:00 – 6:30 PM

Middle School and High School gather separately from 5-6 PM.
All grades gather at 6 PM for worship and a meal. At 6:30, you are invited to stay and participate in activities in Wesley Hall.
Parents sign up to provide a meal for Cornerstone Youth.

Wednesday – Third Street Rehearsal

5 PM

Third Street is Cornerstone’s Praise Band and is always seeking singers and instrumentalists to join us! Grades 7-12 welcome! The goal is to lead worship at retreats, some meetings and Cornerstone Sundays.

Keep an eye out for Third Street updates. Kody Emrich, the new Emerging Ministries Director will be leading Third Street. Contact Kody if you are interested in joining!

 

Dig Deep

Wednesdays | 6:00 – 7:00 PM

Students in grades 9-12 are invited to “dig deep” into scripture and relationship. Spend the school year working through Intersections, as we strive to understand our calling as citizens of Heaven living on Earth and act upon that call in our everyday lives.

Most Thursdays, you will find DKB at the Starbucks at 131st and Hazel Dell Parkway. Feel free to join him for conversation, coffee or just to catch up. Parents are also welcome!

Fundraising Opportunities!

Kroger Community Rewards: 
Register for Kroger Community Rewards online at krogercommunityrewards.com. Sign up using the number 29492 and a percentage of all that you spend at Kroger will go to benefit St. Mark’s Youth Mission Programs. Be sure to have your Kroger Plus card handy!
 
Kids’ Night Out Parents’ Night Off: 
Youth grades 6-12 and who are registered with Cornerstone Youth are able to work at Parents’ Night Out to earn credit that can be used on youth events such as Work Camp and Retreat. Youth can sign up here.
 

Keeping Connected Through Social Media

We use SYM Tools for our email and text message blasts.  Be sure that you are on these distribution lists by sending your contact information (name, email, and mobile #) to DKB (Don K Broad) at [email protected].
We also communicate our student events and updates through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and DKB’s SnapChat Story.  If you or your parents have an account please be sure to connect to DKB!

Parent Volunteers Needed!

Contact DKB to learn about available volunteer opportunities. All volunteers working with our children and youth are required to complete a background check. Please allow at least 72 hours for your application to be processed. Please email Jenny Rundle to request a background check. You may also call the church office at 317-846-4912 for more information. If you would like to make a donation to defer the cost of the background check, you may send a check payable to St. Mark’s UMC with “Background Check” on the memo line or click here to pay online. Background checks must be renewed every three years. Email Jenny Rundle or call the church office 317-846-4912, if you need to check your renewal date.
