The Mustard Seed of Central Indiana
“If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can move mountains.” The Mustard Seed is helping veterans, the homeless, victims of natural disaster, low-income families and the elderly rebuild their lives by providing kitchen supplies, furniture, linens, and other household items. This non-profit organization was established in 1984 in Central Florida as the result of one woman’s faith to care for people regardless of race, creed or social status and has just completed their first year in Indiana. They take in gently used furniture and household items and work with partner agencies to help clients who have suffered a tragedy or set-back and are working towards a goal. Find our more on the Mustard Seed of Central Indiana website.
St. Mark’s collects household items and takes them on a regular basis to their Fisher’s warehouse. Please place your donated items in the blue bin in Wesley Hall. Volunteers are needed on Mondays and Wednesdays anytime 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. to organize and sort items, help deliver furniture, or work in the office. If you’d like to volunteer for this program or want additional information please contact Janet Brown.
