Traditional Worship

Traditional Worship Schedule

Our Traditional worship services at 8:15 & 11:00 provide energetic worship through singing, Scripture reading and sharing God's word. Worship is often strengthened by our chancel choir, hand bell choir, and the St. Mark's Orchestra.

8:15 am & 11:00 am

OCTOBER 1
YES
Philippians 2:1-13, Matthew 21:23-32
Jesus tells the story of two sons who respond to their father’s request. How do we respond to the request God makes on our lives?

OCTOBER 8
MIA DAY

OCTOBER 15
OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS: LISTEN
Exodus 32:1-14, Matthew 22:1-4
Jesus describes the Kingdom of God as a great banquet. The first step in answering God’s
invitation is listening for God’s voice (or the knock at the door).

OCTOBER 22
OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS: GIVE
Exodus 33:12-23, Matthew 22:15-22
In this story Jesus is asked about paying taxes to Caesar.  His response reminds us that part of answering the call of God is knowing the
difference between God’s voice and the world’s voice (and giving what God calls us to give).

OCTOBER 29
OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS: LOVE
Deuteronomy 34:1-12, Matthew 22:34-46
Jesus cites the great commandment as the summary of the law.  It’s our best response to the invitation of God (the knock of God on our heart's door).
