Congregational Care

Prayer Shawl Ministry This ministry uses the care and love of knitting, crocheting, weaving and quilting and combines it with a prayerful outreach to those in need of comfort and solace.
Stephen Ministry Nearly thirty years ago Dr. Kenneth Haugk first prepared a group of his parishioners to assist in the care of church members facing crisis or loss.  He based their ministry on the story of Stephen and the first Christian caregivers (Acts 6:1-6). Today there are thousands of Stephen Ministers in churches all over the world who care in ways that are distinctively Christian and that allow for safe, confidential one-to-one conversation, prayer, and support.

If you would like more information about becoming a Stephen Minister please contact us at

Circle of Concern
Each Sunday, we select a name from our list of people who may no longer be physically able to attend worship on a regular basis. We mention their name at prayer time in worship services. That week the pastors pray for that person and send a card to let them know they are not forgotten. Some of these people have communion served on Mondays following our communion Sunday. Contact the church office, 317-846-4912, if you have questions.
