United Methodist WomenBuild A Habitat....For Giving, Growing, Serving, and Loving"
September Kick-Off Meeting, Tuesday, September 14th
9:00-11:00am or 7:00-9:00pm St. Mark's United Methodist Women (UMW) invite all women to the fall Kick-Off meeting - "Build A Habitat....For Giving, Growing, Serving, and Loving". Our guest speakers will be from Habitat for Humanity:
Joyce Walters, Coordinator for Faith Relations and Hospitality will speak at the morning meeting.
Jessica Conway, Volunteer & Development Assistant will be our evening speaker.
The Interest Group Leaders will entice you with their programs, and we guarantee you will enjoy the food and fellowship!
Bring a dish to share (*** First time attendees are our guests***)
Morning meeting - Members bring brunch foods Evening meeting - Members bring salads or desserts
All women of St. Mark's are invited to attend and encouraged to bring a friend. You do not have to be a member of St. Mark's to share in the fun. Child care is available at the morning meeting.
Morning Interest Groups
"Paul's World and Mission" Facilitators will share their knowledge about Paul from their trip following his Christian path.
Bookworms: We're a group of all ages who read and discuss a variety of fiction and non fiction books. We try to read books in paperback or easily obtained at the library. Bring your book list and choices to the meeting and we'll set our reading list for the year.
Handywomen: Facilitator will teach you how to crochet purses from plastic bags. Bring project ideas to share at the meeting.
Mothers with Young Children: The group will grow together through discussions about child-rearing, family, relationships, and more!
Evening Interest Groups
Bookmarkers: Facilitator leads this group in lively, informative book discussions. Books are chosen from a list compiled by group members, we read from a variety of subjects and authors. Bring a list of books you'd like to recommend.
Bad Girls of the Bible: Facilitator will lead this low-key discussion group that will focus on applying Biblical messages to everyday lives!
